Everyone has been talking about our "new normal." I prefer not to think of it like that. This way of living will not be our forever normal. Life will return to normal. However, we will have learned some lessons in the meantime. We will treasure those we love, the hugs people give us, the gatherings we get to attend. God has given us a period of time for a reset. As writers, we have had some time to reflect and maybe even create out of that time of reflection.
There is no way of knowing what the rest of 2020 or 2021 will hold for us. Those are things we cannot change. We can only change how we ourselves will forge through it. One thing the pandemic has shown us is that we are not in control. We do not know what the future holds but we do know who holds the future. I choose to leave it all in His hands and trust in Him and Him alone to guide my way.
We at NW IWA wish all of our members and friends a safe passage through the pandemic. Together we can lift up one another and encourage one another. God is with us. That is the only thing we really need to know.
